Abiding Faith Baptist Church will present the second annual scholarship benefit event in memory of the Rev. Thomasyne Acree on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 3-6 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene located at 57 Whisk Drive in White Stone. The guest will be the New St. John Men’s Chorus. Featured also will be local youths and adults with reading and recitation from Black authors. African attire is preferred as this is a celebration of Black History Month.

This loving ministry makes prayer shawls to demonstrate the physical support of the parish for those experiencing illness, grief or other difficulties, and for celebrating new life. Help can be provided for those wanting to learn and participate in this ministry.
