The Rappahannock Industrial Academy Alumni Association is seeking applicants for its annual scholarships. The scholarships are open to qualifying African-American students residing in one of the following counties: Middlesex, Essex and King and Queen. Students may attend public or private school.
For the class of 2023, one scholarship in the amount of $2,100 will be awarded to a student from each county.
These scholarship awards will be renewable for up to three additional years. Eligible applicants must plan to enroll in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university, or technical school in the continental United States. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and a commitment to serving their community. All students who meet the above criteria are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship application deadline is Tuesday, March 7, at 5 p.m. Applications must be completed using The Community Foundation of Greater Richmond’s online application process.
