The Middlesex High School (MHS) wrestling team went 2-1 at Windsor on Wednesday, Jan. 11, as the Chargers defeated Southampton, 39-30, Windsor, 36-30, and lost to Northhampton, 54-24.
The Chargers were paced by Cameron Byers, Cole Heath and Wesley Peck, who each had three wins and no losses. Byers won his matches with two pins in the 215-pound class. The MHS junior is coming on strong after an early season injury. Peck competed in the 144-weight class and Heath in the 175 class.
The Chargers final home match of the season was Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Saluda’s John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium.
