MHS grapplers go 2-1 at Northampton meet

The Middlesex High School (MHS) wrestling team was 2-1 at a tri-meet at Northampton High School on Virginia’s Eastern Shore Tuesday, Jan. 3, by defeating Northumberland’s Indians, 63-12, King & Queen Central’s Royal Tigers, 72-6, and losing to Northampton, 45-30.

The Middlesex wrestlers were paced by Christian McMeechan, Cameron Price, Wesley Peck, R.J. Powell and Zack Dean, who all had three wins in their matches.

The Middlesex wrestling team traveled to Windsor for a dual meet with the Dukes on Wednesday, Jan. 11, and will grapple in the Franklin Invitational on Saturday, Jan.14, in an invitational meet at Franklin High School.
