Deltaville Maritime Museum (DMM) and Holly Point Nature Park opens its 2023 Turner Lecture Series with a presentation on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. DMM Boat Shop Director John England will lay out the history of museum boatbuilding, the restoration of the F.D. Crockett buyboat and of the new boat shop. Light refreshments will be served. RSVPs are requested.

The opening lecture will be presented in DMM’s Maritime Parks Events Pavilion, located at 287 Jackson Creek Road in Deltaville. The program will include a question and answer time and meet and greet afterwards. There is no admission fee, but a suggested donation is $10.

We encourage our members and friends to come out and attend these lectures. The museum’s educational activities are important to our mission. Call the Deltaville Maritime Museum office at 804-776-7200 to RSVP. Or email the museum staff at office@deltavillemuseum.com.
