Zoar Baptist Church (ZBC), packed and delivered 1,003 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to the drop-off center at Church of the Nazarene in White Stone on Nov. 18.
Children in countries such as Albania, Bolivia, Chad, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Finland, Gambia, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Peru, Romania, Slovakia, Thailand, Ukraine, Zimbabwe and many hard-to-reach countries that are not listed for security reasons will receive these shoebox gifts.
Each of the 1,003 shoebox gifts contain about 10-15 items, such as a soccer ball, (deflated), with a pump, Barbie doll, matchbox cars, hair bows, toothbrushes, pencils, scissors, erasers, crayons, notebooks, dresses, gym shorts, jacks, yo-yos, jerseys, playing cards, stuffed animals, underwear, socks, and flashlights. Many boxes contained a handwritten note of greeting, good cheer, and encouragement in the name of Jesus. The gift boxes will be distributed by volunteers with the Samaritan’s Purse organization.

Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet the needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
