Deltaville Santa Claus ride and visit to highlight Love Lights celebration

You can have hot chocolate and cookies with Santa Claus the evening of Sunday, Dec. 4, while enjoying Stephen Blue’s Deltaville Lights at 16598 General Puller Highway in Deltaville. The annual community Christmas lights display officially opens today, Thursday, Dec. 1, and remains open through the month. For information, visit deltavillelights.com. (Photo by Stephen Blue)

The Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department (LMVFD) Auxiliary Christmas Love Lights celebration is set for Sunday, Dec. 4. Auxiliary members will celebrate with the lighting of the Love Lights tree at the Deltaville firehouse, and Santa will cruise the neighborhoods of Deltaville and Hardyville on a fire truck with a stop at Stephen Blue’s Deltaville Lights for some cookies and hot chocolate. (Those attending should note the change in cookie-hot chocolate location from previous years — it is no longer at the Deltaville firehouse.) The estimated time frame is that Santa will be leaving the firehouse about 3:30 p.m. — he’ll arrive at Deltaville Lights about 5:30 p.m.

If you have not already done so, be sure to send in your request to honor or remember someone you care about. It is also a great time to let first responders know you appreciate them. If you can’t find your Love Lights flyer, you can pick one up at Hurd’s True Value Hardware store in Deltaville.
