Woman’s Club selling bisque; giving fall planting tips

The Middlesex County Woman’s Club will be open this Friday, Oct. 21, from noon-2 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m.-noon. They will be selling crab bisque to all who pre-ordered and to those who walk in and want to purchase their famous bisque. The cost this year is $30/quart.

The club’s Fall Planting for Spring Flowers program is set for 10-11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24. Nancy Gainer, a member of MCWC and a former Middlesex/Mathews Master Gardener, will present the when, where and what for fall bulb plantings.

Join them at the Middlesex County Woman’s Club at their clubhouse (the colonial courthouse building) in Urbanna.
