A grassroots effort to fight litter received the support of the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors, which approved a “Zero Tolerance for Litter Resolution” at its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
By approving the resolution, supervisors give their backing to the volunteer community organization known as, “Keep Middlesex Beautiful!” (KMB!). Among the goals of KMB! are to “serve, support and inspire a litter-free and beautiful Middlesex County.”
“We are very pleased to have this strong level of unanimous support from the county’s board of supervisors,” said KMB! Beautification Chairman Aaron McFarland, co-owner of Tupelo Farm and Garden near Urbanna.
“Green Up”
KMB! is planning a county wide cleanup effort for spring 2023 called “The Great Middlesex Green Up!” For information on KMB!, email McFarland at keepmiddlesexbeautiful@gmail.com.
