Urbanna residents are invited to submit questions for a candidates forum set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the meeting room of the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department firehouse at 335 Virginia St. in Urbanna.
“Urbanna Town Elections 2022 Forum” is being coordinated by co-chairmen Kristi Anzivino and Sue Warner.
Anzivino and Warner said the public should submit questions for the 2022 forum by emailing them to urbannaforum2022@gmail.com. The questions must be emailed no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14. However, Anzivino and Warner encouraged folks to email questions as soon as possible.
Due to the number of candidates and two-hour time limit of the forum, only a few of the submitted questions can be used. Candidates will also make opening and closing statements.
Longtime Middlesex County resident Joe Heyman, owner of the Allen Group construction company with offices in Urbanna, will serve as the forum’s moderator. Terri Hale will serve as the forum’s timekeeper.

- Marjorie F. Austin.
- Larry S. Chowning.
- Alana V. Courtney.
- Merri Hanson.
- P. Gari Lister.
- Beth Justice Stewart.
- Sandra W. Sturgill.
There are also three candidates vying for Urbanna mayor and there will be separate questions for the mayoral race. The candidates include, in alphabetical order:
- Barbara M. Hartley.

- William T. “Bill” Goldsmith.
There will be no questions from the audience the night of the forum and no questions will be given out to candidates before the forum.
