The Middlesex High School golf team (8-3) won the Tidewater District tournament on Monday at the Queenfield Golf Course in King William. Also competing were Mathews and West Point.
Middlesex fired a team score of 347 to best King William’s 355. The win avenges the Chargers’ two losses in the regular season to King William, which is a double A school.
Mathews shot a 405 and West Point tallied a 464.
Regular season finale
The MHS Charger golf team finished the regular season 8-3. Two of those losses came against King William, a Double A school. The other loss was by a single point.
The Region A Tournament begins Sept. 27 at the Golden Eagle Golf Course in Lancaster County.
