On Monday, the Middlesex High School Charger golf team beat West Point in a nine-hole match at West Point by a score of 177-237. Peyton Lambert had the low score of the match with a 37.
The Chargers, now 8-2, also defeated Mathews and recorded a forfeit win over Chincoteague on Sept. 7 at the Piankatank River Golf Club (PRGC) in Hartfield. Middlesex defeated Mathews 169-203, led by Peyton Lambert’s one under par 35 on the nine-hole course. Teammates Garrison Robins shot a 40, while Nielson McMinn shot a 42. Only the top three scores were counted for this match.
