COVID-19 cases have decreased across the United States over the past week: currently the nation is averaging about 66,000 known cases/day.
Virginia (known) cases also decreased over the past week; the current seven-day average is 1,738 cases/day.
The Three Rivers case daily average improved over the past seven days to about 20 cases/day.
By Centers for Disease Control (CDC) criteria, and according to the latest available data, Middlesex County currently has medium transmission levels, down from high levels the previous week. Gloucester and Mathews counties are at low COVID-19 levels. King William, Essex and Richmond counties are at high COVID-19 levels, and all other jurisdictions in Three Rivers Health District are at medium COVID-19 community levels.
