Middlesex school enrollment rises 5% from last year

Enrollment is up about 5% in Middlesex County Public Schools (MCPS).

As of Friday, Sept. 2, enrollment for kindergarten through 12th grade was 1,170 — that’s 67 more students than this time last year, said Dr. Tracy Seitz, superintendent of MCPS.
Middlesex High School has 348 students in grades nine through 12.

St. Clare Walker Middle School, with grades six, seven and eight, has 287 students.
Middlesex Elementary School (MES) has 535 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

“Accreditation has been waived the last two years because of COVID-19, so we haven’t had any real data since the 2018-2019 testing year,” said Seitz…
