James W. Dodd Sr., 78, of Urbanna passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
James is survived by his bride of almost 60 years, Patricia (Moo); his children, Teresa Parrish (Brian), Jimmy Dodd Jr. (Heather); his grandchildren, Jr Everett, Sami Everett (Jeremy), Nicole LaFlame (Ty), Bj Mortimer (Megan), Cody Reynolds (Gabby), Abbi Gleason; his great-grandchildren, Huxton, Bishop, Maelynn, Preston, Chase, Graylynn; his sister-in-law, Rayline Anderson; his brother-in-law, Woody Aldridge Jr (Gail); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Dodd Everett; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert E Hastings; his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Aldridge Sr.; and his cousin/brother, Robert Earl Bishop.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Sep. 3 at Urbanna United Methodist Church, 291 Marston Ave., Urbanna, where a memorial service is set for 11 a.m.
