Mollie Williams McMurtrie, 83, of Deltaville passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Alexander McMurtrie.
She is survived by her son, Robert Alexander “Mac” McMurtrie Jr. (Stephanie); daughter, Susan Williams (David); grandchildren, Jeffery Scott Payne Jr., Brittin Payne and Luke McMurtrie; and nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
She was a member of the Church of the Visitation, an avid reader and a 30-plus year lifetime member of Lower Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad. Most importantly, Mollie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren with whom she was so proud of and loved so dearly.
A graveside memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Friday, August 19, at Church of the Visitation Cemetery, Topping. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 98, Deltaville, VA 23043.
Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, is assisting the family.
