Many in community came together to make back-to-school event a success

The president of the NAACP Middlesex Branch, Unit 7091, is asking folks to thank members of the various groups that supported the Aug. 6 back-to-school event at Camp Piankatank. “With the combined efforts from the following organizations, groups and people, the Back to School Bash was was a success,” said the president, Dawn Moore.  “If you see anyone from one of these groups, please thank them for the support and time.” She then named the Middlesex Branch NAACP, Game Changers, B.C. United Outreach, Pure Life Church, Aaron Liberty, Love for Kids Foundation, Creative Productions, Hands Across Middlesex, Middlesex Literary Union, Middlesex County Parks and Recreation Department, American Legion Post 82, Middlesex County Rotary Club, Grafton Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, Middlesex Social Services, Vincent Carter, “Doc” Jones, James Knupp, Camp Piankatank, Middlesex Kiwanis Club, Terry Ann Rodgers, Greg Grichtmeir, Lebanon Baptist Church, Middlesex Family YMCA, Middlesex Library, Zoar Baptist Church and Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society.

“Look out for other events to come,” Moore said.

She added, “The NAACP Middlesex Branch would like to thank everyone for the wonderful collaboration. We set out with a goal and united together to get it accomplished.  It has been a joy and looking forward to more community events in the future.
