Alexander Crittenden drove in four runs, including the final two of a five-run eighth-inning rally, to push the Deltaville Deltas ahead of the Tappahannock Tides by the score of 9-2 on Saturday night.
Defeating the Tides — the second place team in the Richmond NABA East Division — in Saturday night’s postseason semifinal matchup earns the Deltas their third consecutive trip to the NABA Championship series this week. They’ll take on the winner of the West Division semifinal, which will be either the top seeded Richmond Brewers or the two-time defending league champion Richmond El Heaters. That semifinal was delayed by heavy rains in Richmond over the weekend, and was played Tuesday night.
