Recently, 25 children spent their week at Piankatank River Golf Club (PRGC) in Hartfield learning the fundamentals of golf, positive competition, and character development that will serve them as they continue to grow and mature. Several youth are poised to continue on to play into the fall on the Middlesex High School junior varsity golf team.

“Many thanks are due to our volunteers Bev Kidd, Janice Phillips, Donna Lange, Clayton Neal, Greg Rogers, Jim Goforth, Pierce Lambert, Peyton Lambert and Warren Jones who made the week a great success,” said YMCA District Executive Director Dennis “Buzz” Lambert.

“Our gratitude also is extended to John Abbott, Bryan Johnson, and Derrek Fauntleroy for making the week enjoyable for the campers and their families. We are grateful to have such a wonderful resource here in Middlesex.”
