Deltaville offense explodes for 13 runs in final three innings; slated to play final home game of the season this Saturday
The Deltaville Deltas offense exploded for 13 runs in the final three innings, as they pulled away from the Prince George Blue Sox by the score of 16-6 in Saturday night’s regular season finale.
The Deltas will play their final home game of the season this Saturday night, as they host the eastern division final of the Richmond NABA playoff tournament. By virtue of being first place in the division, the Deltas earned a bye through the first round of the tournament.
They will take on the winner of the second and third seeded Tappahannock Tides and Richmond River Dogs, with a first pitch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. If the Deltas prevail on Saturday night, they will begin a three-game series on Sunday against the winner of the western division, with the series being played at JR Tucker High School in Richmond.
The Deltas game against the River Dogs on Friday night was cancelled due to rain, and will not be made up as the result would have no effect…
