Carey Harvey Latimore IV, 46, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas.
Carey was born on Oct. 10, 1975 to Carey III and Ann B. Stephens Latimore and was raised in Middlesex County.
He married Almie Pachoco on Oct. 29, 2011 in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Latimore earned his bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Richmond and his doctorate degree from Emory University in Atlanta. From 2004 until his passing, Dr. Latimore was a professor of History at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He was also an ordained minister at Mount Zion First Baptist Church.
Carey was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Bruce Stephens Latimore.
Dr. Latimore is survived by his wife, Almie Pachoco Latimore; father, Carey H. Latimore III; sisters, Kim McCarther (Al McCarther) and Kerri Latimore; sisters-in-law, Dr. Girlie Figueroa (Mark Figueroa) and Shirlie Pachoco; brother-in-law, Jun Pachoco (Emily Pachoco); and nephews, nieces, and a host of family and friends.
The funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5 at Antioch Baptist Church in Saluda. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
