Annie Lee Thomas, 92, of Deltaville, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Walter Reed Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester after a long illness.
She loved spending time with family and friends at her home on Lovers Lane. She enjoyed fishing and crabbing on Jackson Creek with her husband and made the best crab cakes (no filler) in the world! She loved homemade ice cream made with fresh peaches from her trees. Mama had an infectious laugh and you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth next. She is loved and will be missed by all that knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles N. Thomas; daughter, Marilyn C. Thomas; sisters, Elizabeth Hurley, Marie Bryant; and brothers, Charlie, Johnny and Hugh Dunlevy.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Newman and Wayne L. Thomas; sisters, Jean Dutton, Virginia Kelley and Patricia Jackson. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Marianne Southerland (Blake), Madison Thomas, MacLean Thomas; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. July 7 in the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Cook officiating.
