Multiple players blast home runs vs. Avalanche
Deltaville Deltas Travis Crump and Tucker Bratton each homered as the Deltas used an eight-run seventh inning to pull away from the Richmond Avalanche by the score of 13-3 on Saturday night in Deltaville.
Crump, the Deltas leadoff hitter, gave the Deltas the lead on the second pitch in the bottom of the first inning, launching the pitch over the right field wall for a solo home run.
Deltaville extended its lead to 4-0 in the third in a rally capped by Scott Crump’s two-run single.
After the teams held each other scoreless in the sixth, the Deltas took advantage of an Avalanche pitching change in the seventh. Bratton blasted his two-run homer to get the scoring started, and later Hunter Sturgeon blasted a bases loaded three-run double to make the score 10-3. After a Jake Perry RBI single made the score 11-3, Bratton came back to the plate with two runners on and blasted a two-run double to give the Deltas a 10-run lead.
Deltaville returns to action this Saturday, June 18, with a 7:30 p.m. home matchup…
