Are your children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old? Would they like to do crafts, color, hear a Bible story, play games and learn a new song about the “Power of God”? If so, bring your youngsters to Harmony Grove Baptist Church at 7722 General Puller Highway in Topping (the intersection of Routes 3 and 33) on Monday through Thursday, June 20 through 23, to “Plug into God’s Power.”
The summertime adventure will begin with a light dinner and registration at 5:45 p.m. Participants will be inside and outside, weather-permitting, for the Summer Adventure 2 program, which will end at 8 p.m. each night. There will be an authentic-looking, plains Indians-style teepee set up on the church lawn for the children to see.
Call the church office at 804-758-5154 on Tuesday, between 9 a.m. and noon, to register your children, or just leave a message and they will return your call.
Urbanna United Methodist Church (UUMC) at 221 Marston Ave. (at Cross Street) now has outdoor Sunday worship beginning at 10:30 a.m.
“We will meet in the church prayer garden or under the large shade tree, depending on the heat,” the Rev. Bruce Johnson, UUMC pastor, told the Sentinel. “In the event of rain we will move back indoors. All are welcome to join us.”
