Christ Church (Episcopal) Parish in Christchurch presented a reception on Sunday, June 12, to honor Debbie Davis, right, organist, and choir director for the past nine years. Davis has been an integral part of the church, providing inspiring music and a very delicate touch.
She drove from her home in Richmond every Sunday. During the COVID-19 shutdown, she recorded music from her home to add to the services. She will be missed by all. Her daughter, Nicole Davis, has been an active participant on Sundays, serving as an acolyte and lector. At the reception, Nicole Davis was awarded the Bessie French Memorial Scholarship by the Episcopal Church Women (ECW). She will be attending Washington College in Chestertown, Md., in the fall.
