Museums Of Middlesex supports Arts in the Middle

Kicking up their heels during the concert are Nancy Jackson of Wake (left), her granddaughter, Olivia Pollock, 2, and Joanne Seay of Berryville.

Arts in the Middle (AIM) Juried Fine Arts Festival returns to beautiful Hewick Plantation at 5123 Old Virginia St. near Urbanna on Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5.

The Museums Of Middlesex (MOM), is an LLC formed in 2015 of four foundations and museums in Middlesex County to work together increasing our tourism visibility and acquainting everyone with Middlesex’s rich history and maritime heritage. MOM’s canopy and the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s “Explorer” will be located right at the main entrance.

The four partnering museums and foundations are the Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society in Saluda, the Urbanna Museum in Urbanna, and the Colonial Seaport Foundation and the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park in Deltaville.

Information and brochures of all four groups will be available at the MOM info table located directly across from the AIM welcome tent.

As the MOM tent is located away from the Arts in the Middle literary tent, we will run our presentations at different times than shown on the website. The “Explorer” will be available for viewing and “Q and A” all day.

MOM will present its exhibit at the Main Entrance 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
