Middlesex baseball team advances in region playoff after heavily lopsided 13-0 win vs. Northumberland

The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity baseball team surprised Northumberland last week by dominating the Indians 13-0 in the quarter finals of the Region A baseball tournament.
Northumberland was favored to win the game as the Indians had defeated MHS two other times under the Virginia High School League slaughter rule by beating the Chargers 10-0 in both regular season games.
With the win over Northumberland, Middlesex’s win-loss record rose to 11-7 and 9-1…
