This season marks the 75th season of action at Deltaville Ballpark. Constructed in 1948, it is the oldest and one of only two remaining all-wooden ballparks in Virginia.

The celebration kicks off Friday night with renowned jazz swing band Good Shot Judy taking the stage at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring their own seat or blanket to spread out on the outfield. Food, adult beverages, and water and soft drinks will be available. Tickets for adults are $15; teens are $5 and children younger than 12 are free.

Saturday the stage comes off the field and the baseball begins. At 5 p.m., former Deltas from decades past will take the field against their counterparts from the Deltas’ long-time rival Tappahannock Tides. At 7:30 p.m., the 2022 Deltas will take the field for a preseason game against the current Tides. Admission for Saturday’s event is $6 for adults, $3 for teens, and 12 and younger are free.

Any former players who have not been in touch should contact Deltas Manager Jerry Crittenden at 804-241-5630 to confirm attendance. Players are asked to arrive at 4 p.m. to warm up for the 5 p.m. game.
