Blues-rock super-guitarist and No. 1 Billboard blues artist Bobby Messano headlines the 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 28, Memorial Day weekend “Groovin’ in the Park” concert at the Deltaville Maritime Museum (DMM) and Holly Point Nature Park. Area favorite keyboard man Ray Pittman leads off for Bobby at 5 p.m. Tim Moore, formerly with “Cedar Creek,” will handle Ray’s percussion and backup vocals. Gates open at 4 p.m.
Bobby is a legendary guitarist and contemporary blues artist who has released seven solo CDs, placed songs in many TV and cable shows and played on more than 50 major label and “indie” albums. His playing has been heard on everything from MTV jingles to Benny Mardones’ smash hit “Into The Night.”
Bobby commented last week, “I’m really looking forward to coming back to Deltaville. It is one of my favorite places to play.”
This Groovin’ concert will be presented in the museum’s spacious waterfront park, overlooking pristine Mill Creek. This is a “bring your own lawn chair, cooler, and picnic” event.
