On Memorial Day Sunday, the Deltaville Maritime Museum (DMM) and Holly Point Nature Park will begin what is planned as a new performing arts series to the maritime waterfront. The very first “pop-up Sunday” will begin 4-6 p.m. Sunday, May 29, with the country music sounds of the Mike and Amy Aiken Band. Pop-up Sunday will be a “bring your own lawn chair and picnic” performance. Gates will open at 3 p.m.

Mike and Amy, life partners and sea captains, have logged more than 30,000 bluewater miles sailing their boat from Nova Scotia to Europe to the Caribbean and beyond. They have crossed the seas and crisscrossed countries sharing the music born of their experiences. Mike’s original songs and stories are a celebration of the independent spirit found in characters they’ve encountered.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door and can be purchased online…
