Forty-one years ago, Urbanna Baptist Church, in cooperation with Bethpage Camp-Resort just west of Urbanna, came together to establish a Sunday morning ministry at the campground. The Rev. John Upton and the pastors that followed have shared the love of God with campers as they have gathered by the lake on Sunday mornings.
Urbanna Baptist Church still organizes, along with the campground, “come-as-you-are” Sunday worship services. Ministers of other Middlesex churches also participate in sharing the Word of God.
The Bethpage Camp-Resort Sunday worship services for 2022 will begin on Easter Sunday, April 17. Come to the amphitheater at 9 a.m. for fellowship, music and to hear the Words of God.
