MHS track teams excel in opener

The Middlesex High School (MHS) girls and boys track teams kicked off the 2022 season last week at West Point High School. The Lady Chargers won the March 15 tri-meet, while the boys team finished second as a team.

The girls won the meet with 64 points.The Lady Pointers finished second with 24 points and Carver Academy was third with 2 points. West Point won the boys team competition with 76.5 points; Middlesex, second, 63.5 points; and Carver, third, 6 points.

“We were pleased with the outcome of the first meet of the season,” said boys track coach Joel Anderson. “Both the boys and girls teams are young and have tremendous potential for MHS to have strong teams…”
