Mattie Louise Johnson, 94, of Middlesex County, transitioned to Glory on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia L. (Demetrius) Means; her daughter-in-law, Grace S. Hemby; grandchildren, Demetrius L. (Johtoya) Means II, Robert M. (Tywana) Hemby II, Ryan V. (Jewel) Hemby, De’Ane L. Means, Russell L. Hemby and Robyn N. (Zachary) Thomas; great-grandchildren, great-great-grandson, sister/cousin Eula M. Royster and sister/friend Mona Gusmus and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie (Bill) and Rose Williams Jones; her beloved son, Robert M. Hemby; and her husband, Henry S. Johnson.
The viewing is planned for 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 25 at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords.
The homegoing service is set for noon Saturday, March 26 at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 2243 Buckley Hall Road, Cobbs Creek. Interment will be at Grafton Baptist Church, Hartfield.
