Curtis Thomas Howard Beverley (known to many as “Bubba” and “Smiley”), departed this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Curtis was born on Dec. 23, 1989, to Charles St. Clare Beverley Sr. and Belinda Williams Beverley of Saluda.
Curtis was the youngest to his brother Charles St. Clare Beverley Jr. Curtis was baptized at an early age in Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a dedicated member of Calvary’s youth choir. He graduated Middlesex High School in 2008 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Virginia Tech. Curtis began his career in August 2012 working for Wells Fargo Bank in Richmond. Within a year, he quickly rose through the ranks to become a branch manager at a larger Wells Fargo Bank in Atlanta, Ga.
Curtis continued his education at Western Governor’s University, where he earned a master’s degree in Business Administration in 2018. After graduating, Western Governor’s University offered Curtis a full-time teaching position in Accounting.
Curtis will be remembered for his laughter, loving smile, and quick wittedness. His love and precious laugh brought smiles and changed the lives of many. His love, life, and laughter will be cherished forever.
A funeral service is scheduled for noon on Saturday, March 11 at Calvary Baptist Church located at 3971 General Puller Highway, Saluda. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home at 3632 Lewis B. Puller Memorial Highway, Shacklefords.
