Celebrate Light event to also offer live band, multiple fun youth games at gym in Hartfield

The new “Celebrate Light” community youth group is set to meet 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, in the community gym at 11487 General Puller Highway in Hartfield. The gathering is open to any middle or high school student.

“We plan to continue this once a month gathering throughout all of 2022 in various locations throughout the county,” said Celebrate Light Chairman Terry Rogers, a founding member.

Friday’s registration will be set up so parents can give information and drop off their teens. High school students will be allowed to fill out the registration form for themselves. Adult leaders will be vetted using a background check system.

Saluda Baptist Church Deacon Meaghan Koehler will share her testimony at the event. Also, multiple fun activities are planned, including an obstacle course, four square and pass the prize. Snacks and refreshments will be available.

If you think your organization might be interested in hosting a Celebrate Light gathering or for information, call Rogers at 850-974-0863 or email her at liftmiddlesex@gmail.com.
