Harold Lee Carneal, 84, born Aug. 14, 1937, a lifelong resident of Middlesex County, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022 at his son’s home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Carneal; parents, Helen and Raymond Carneal; and his brother, “Charlie” Carneal.
He is survived by his three daughters and a son, Tammy Matsey (Dan) of Glen Allen, Robin Morgan (Rich) of Tappahannock, Dawn Nash (Skip) and David Carneal (Amy) both of Midlothian; Ann’s children, Renee Hundley (Mike), Kevin Hockaday (Molly), and Keith Hockaday (Holly). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Christopher Matsey (Angie), Heather Lewis (Mark), Ryan Morgan (Katie), Carter Morgan, Ella Nash, Harrison Nash, Audrey Nash, Kate Carneal, and Caroline Carneal; eight step-grandchildren; one great-grandson; numerous step-great-grandchildren; four nieces;’ and other family members.
Harold was a broker/owner of Carneal Realty and Insurance for more than 40 years and a graduate of Middlesex High School Class of 1955. Harold was a proud member of Masonic Lodge Delta 75, Level 32. He was also a Lions Club member, and a lifelong member of Forest Chapel Methodist Church, Warner.
The funeral service is set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda. Visitation will be conducted one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Warner.
