Middlesex County NAACP Unit 7091’s special Founders Day-Black History Month program is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Freeshade Community Center at 1544 Regent Road in Topping.
It will feature the “Fashion from the Motherland” African fashion show, a presentation on Black Wall Street (the Tulsa Massacre) and Middlesex High School (MHS) History Teacher Michael Pierce and his MHS students. You can also register to vote at the event and learn about restoration of voting rights, as well as how to join the NAACP. Reggie Carter will give a presentation on “Richmond Planet, Black Excellence” license plates.
Three Rivers Health Department staff will also be on site to provide vaccinations and to answer any vaccination-related questions.
