The Middlesex High School (MHS) boys basketball team beat the Charles City Panthers, 76-39, in the John Clements Memorial Gym on Tuesday, Feb. 1, as MHS’s starting lineup scored 54 points in the first half.

The Chargers first string lineup was needed for only the first half as the second team continued to pound the Panthers in the second half.

The Chargers continue to dominate play as MHS has had only four loses during the regular season. Middlesex has lost twice to a powerful Lancaster Red Devil team, fell to King William once after beating the Cavaliers earlier in the season and lost to West Point on Thursday, Feb. 3, 69-40, also having beat the Pointers earlier.

The Chargers end their regular season play this week against Mathews on Monday, Feb. 7; Northumberland, Tuesday, Feb. 8; and Carver at home tonight, Thursday, Feb. 10.
