On Monday, Jan. 24, the Town of Urbanna office issued a statement that the public hearing originally scheduled for today, Thursday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. to receive public input on the proposed Virginia Street pier has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Urbanna Town Council will still take place on today, Thursday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. in the council chambers on the second floor of the Urbanna Town Hall, located at 45 Cross St.
The town’s website has posted the following statement:
“Due to extenuating circumstances, the public hearing regarding the Virginia St. Dock/Pier schedule for Thursday, Jan. 27, has been canceled. The hearing will be rescheduled for a later date. Notice will be published in the Southside Sentinel, as well as posted on our website and Facebook. We thank you for your understanding.
“The regularly scheduled meeting of the Urbanna Town Council will still take place on Thursday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. The agenda will be posted on our website (Jan. 25). Please contact Town Hall with any questions at 804-758-2613.”
