Wilson, Tolomeo, Campbell, Anderson, Austin, Byers win all matches; Middlesex to face arch-rival Mathews on Jan. 26

The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger wrestling team had two wins over the Essex High School Trojans Wednesday, Jan. 12, and a loss to the King William Cavaliers.
The Chargers beat Essex, 54-18 and 57-12, and lost to the Cavaliers 42-36, for only the second team loss for MHS this season. “With this meet our MHS Chargers are 12-2 on the season and we have had some great parent support this season,” said MHS Head Coach Joel Anderson.
Thomas Wilson (120-pound division), Colin Tolomeo (126-pound class), Tucker Campbell (138-pound), Rowan Anderson (152-pound), Elliott Austin (182-pound) and Cameron Byers (220-pound) won all three of their matches in the meet.
Austin Lundy (170-pound) and Cody Walsh (132-pound) won two matches and lost one each; and Jordan Millen (145-pound) and Ethan Walker (160-pound) each won a match.
The Chargers had a home meet against the Lancaster Red Devils on Wednesday, Jan. 19.
MHS will compete in the Tidewater District Championship meet at Mathews High School on Wednesday, Jan. 26. The meet starts at 5 p.m.
