The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger wrestling team defeated Northampton and Mathews high schools at a meet at Mathews on Wednesday, Jan. 5. MHS downed Northampton, 54-15, and Mathews, 39-36, to raise their season won-loss record to 10-1.
“I would like to thank my assistant coaches Devante Robinson, Vladimir Rowe and Wayne Mount who stepped up big last night taking the reins in the MHS wins over two tough opponents,” said Coach Joel Anderson, who was unable to be at the meet. “We have a young team and they still have a lot to learn but they have been doing a great job and are getting a lot better. Our team is now 10-1 on the season with a few more duals left before regionals. Thank you to our Charger parents and bus driver for your continued support!”
