The Middlesex High School (MHS) Lady Charger basketball team is improving. On Dec. 8, the Lady Chargers played a hard fought game at Rappahannock and fell short by just 3 points, losing 36-33. It was the return match from a game played 10 days ago when the Lady Raiders ended the game before it began on the way to a 61-14 victory.
The Lady Chargers seem to be gathering their footing and had many chances to overtake the Raiders but missed layups and free throws kept the Lady Chargers on the short end of the score, said head coach Neil Wake. “I really like how the team came together tonight. They are young but if we can continue to make small strides like tonight it will get interesting.”
