The Christchurch School swim team defeated the combined swim team of Middlesex High School and Lancaster High School — the two schools compete as one team — on Dec. 8 at the Northern Neck YMCA in Kilmarnock.
The Christchurch girls and boys won the following events in their respective classes: the 200 yard medley relays, the 200 yard freestyle relays, and the girls 400 yard freestyle relay.
Christchurch School individuals who won their classes include, Jackson Kiland, who won the 50 yard and 100 yard boys freestyle, Larkin Fletcher, who won the girls 100 yard butterfly and the 100 yard backstroke, and Nicole Francisco, who won the 500 yard freestyle.
Pablos Ortiz Zacarias won the boys 100 yard backstroke, while fellow Seahorse Izzy Kiland won the girls 100 yard breaststroke and Bryan Floyd won the boys 100 yard breaststroke.
Middlesex swimmer Ashtyn Franklin won the girls 200 yard freestyle. Fellow Charger Ella Hodges won the girls 200 yard individual medley.
Lancaster’s Ella Posey won the girls 50 yard and 100 yard girls freestyle.
