In search for gifts this year, shoppers have a new opportunity to buy local and support the arts with the Arts in the Middle Christmas Gallery.
Housed in what was formerly Cyndy’s Bynn in Urbanna (311 Virginia St.), the pop-up gallery showcases local artists’ work in a wide array of mediums and subjects — from raku pottery, to watercolors of local scenes, to abstract expressionist paintings. It is running through Saturday, Dec. 11.
The event is made possible in part by a grant by the River Counties Community Foundation to provide opportunities to local artists.
Open hours are Wednesday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, is the final day for art lovers and gift-seekers to experience the gallery.
