The fourth Urbanna Pet and Children’s Christmas Parade is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, (rain date is Dec. 11). It will start at Taber Park at the corner of Rappahannock Avenue and Bonner Street.
It’s mostly for Yule-costumed dogs, but some years miniature horses have participated. There is no charge to participate.
Prizes will be awarded for various categories, including Most Beautiful, Cutest, Smallest and Largest. A dog trick class is being offered as part of the fun. The Middlesex County Kiwanis Club is the sponsor.
Santa is expected to make an in-person appearance in the parade and visit with children in the park after the parade.

- Urbanna Hometown Christmas Parade — The 25th Urbanna Hometown Christmas Parade is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. It will go on even if it rains. It forms an hour before parade start time in parking lot near the firehouse, goes east on Virginia Street, north on Cross Street, west on Marston Street, south on Rappahannock Avenue, west on Bonner Street, and south on Grace Avenue back to firehouse.
