Martha Lou Davis Cottingham, 73, of Powhatan, formally of Middlesex County, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Dallas Davis Sr.; mother and step-father, Myrtle D. and Charles W. Faulkner Sr.; and sister, Ann Carlton Gresham Davis.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Don F. Cottingham; two sons, RD Monson and his wife, Dawn M. Monson, Bruce F. Monson and his wife, Michelle Monson; four grandchildren, Eli and Blake Monson, Emily and Skylar Monson; brother, John D. Davis Jr. and his wife Mary Ann Davis; three nieces, Emily Wills, Melissa Welch, and Jana Copley and their families; and many loving friends.
Martha loved spending times with her “Sea Chick’s”.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel in Saluda, with a memorial ceremony at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
