Demolition of the Deltaville Ballpark’s original restrooms commenced earlier this month, paving the way for construction of expanded and ADA-compliant restrooms this winter.
The project, the third and final phase of the soon-to-be 75-year-old ballpark’s renovation, will more than triple the ballpark’s restroom capacity, bringing it into compliance with current codes for public facilities. It will also include a gender-neutral “family restroom” for children and young families.
Deltaville Ballpark will be celebrating its 75th anniversary season in 2022, with a full slate of local youth, scholastic, and semi-pro sports on tap. To kick off the season, a weekend concert and Deltas Old-Timers game weekend is being planned for the weekend of May 20-21, featuring current and former Deltas players, the Tappahannock Tides, and headlining band, Good Shot Judy.
