The following case was heard in Middlesex County Circuit Court on Nov. 3, with Judge Jeffrey Shaw presiding and reported by Middlesex Commonwealth’s Attorney Michael Hurd.
William Ervie Robinson III, 32, of Hartfield was before the court for a show cause alleging a violation of conditions of probation. Robinson had originally been convicted of grand larceny in 2010, and found in contempt in 2019 for not paying restitution, and found in violation of conditions of probation in 2020.
On Nov. 3, the court amended the show cause to a charge of contempt for not paying restitution and sentenced Robinson to 60 days, and ordered him to pay the balance of restitution and to pay court costs. The court also ordered that if the restitution is paid prior to serving the full sentence, Robinson can be released.
Robinson remains on probation.
