Middlesex High School’s Ella Hodges was on target with this hit against King and Queen in the Tidewater District opener last week.

by Tom Chillemi –

The Middlesex High School volleyball team’s season came to an end on Monday, Nov.1, when the Charger girls lost to host Chincoteague in three sets in the first round of the Region A1 Tournament.

In this rebuilding year the Lady Chargers finished 10-11 overall and 7-3 in Tidewater District play. “I am never pleased with falling short of the state tournament, but that being said, I was very pleased how the first time starters stepped up to the challenge this year,” said Coach Brian Walton. “As far as the future goes, we are very  excited! All the younger players improved so much this year and are chomping at the bit to get next year started.”
