Luther (Buddy) Morgan Bristow Jr., 94, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1926 in Middlesex County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ethel; his two sisters, Mary and Alma; and a loving wife of 57 years, Anne Daniel Bristow.
Luther loved baseball and rarely missed his Richmond Braves games. He also loved gardening, fishing and all animals, especially birds and ducks.
He worked as a salesman for many years until retirement.
Luther leaves behind a large family, Maria Stringer (Mike), Karen Yarbrough (Tim), Julie Rothwell (Steve), Morgan Bristow and Betsy Bristow; grandchildren, Julie Stringer Farrar (Mark), Dale Stringer, Chris Yarbrough (Corrie), Danny Yarbrough, and Heather Yarbrough; great-grandchildren, Alissa Farrar and Alex Yarbrough.
He will be missed by all that knew him. Thank you to Kindred Hospice, Nurse Madison and Latoya for all your tender care.
A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda. Interment will follow in Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Jamaica.
